My 10 yr old male tiger cat seems to be choking/coughing from flem in his throat. Are cats unable to cough it up? After that he goes into a kind of dry cough. I have videos.

I would very much like to see the videos. You can upload them to YouTube and then give me the link to them. Be sure not to mark them as "private". Chronic coughing in our cats usually arises secondary to asthma. Acute coughing is more likely to indicate feline herpesvirus (FHV-1).
