Customer Question

The dose of fluoxetine (Prozac) in cats ranges up to 0.7 mg/lb or 12 mg for your cat. The dose of gabapentin (Neurontin) is anecdotal but has been cited as up to 5 mg/lb or 90 mg for your cat. 300 mg is likely to be heavily sedating and cause ataxia ("drunken sailor") in an 18 lb cat but not dangerous. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

The page isn't allowing me to edit my response. It should have said "The dose of gabapentin (Neuronin) is anecdotal but has been cited as up to 10 mg/lb or 180 mg for your cat."
