Hello Cathy,

I am sorry to hear you are worried about your kitten. My name is Rebecca. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.

I am also very sorry to see you have not gotten help from an expert before now. I just came online and saw your question.

How is Mallikie this morning?

How long have you had him? Is he vomiting at all, or having any diarrhea? There are many reasons for a young kitten not to eat, and to be sleepy, A viral infection would be on of the first things I would check for. Can you possibly take his temperature with a rectal thermometer? Normal would be between 101 and 102. If he is less than 100, I would be concerned about dehydration from not eating and drinking enough, and if he is over 103 he may have an infection.

Let me know how he is doing, and if you still need help. Rebecca
