Customer Question

Found a kitten about 2 weeks old, 5 days ago. started feeding it kitten replacement milk. Was doing well till this morning she would drink, then sneeze in a strange way with mouth wide open Held her upside down and patted the back till it passed. Don't know what else to do for her.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. It sounds as if Smug aspirated replacement milk up into her nose. This is often inadvertent and benign in nursing neonates but can also represent anatomical defects such as a cleft palate. There's no need for further therapy but please see if this behavior repeats itself which would then prompt having her oral cavity and oropharynx visually examined for defects. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
