Hi,

My name is***** and I am sorry to hear that your kitty prefers your blankets over his box. This can be many different problems ranging from a bladder infection to separation anxiety. The following is a great link to an extensive discussion on why cats don't use their litter boxes.

After you read that and you visit with your regular veterinarian, if you still don't have answers, you may need to consider talking with a veterinary behaviorist.
