Customer Question

My cat died last night about 6 pm. She was non-responsive to any stimuli. She was 19 yrs. old. This morning we buried her, but there was no rigor. Did I bury my cat alive

Hello,

This is Dr. Christian. I'd like to help. I'm sorry you lost Chi. I know this has got to be a hard time. Rigor does occur right after death but then several hours later the rigor subsides and the body will return to a limp condition. I'm confident that you did not bury Chi alive. My condolences. If you have more questions please reply back.
