my cat seems to have lost some hair on its ears and back. He also seems like his
nose is running. Is that something to worry about?

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you are worried about your cat. I am Rebecca, a veterinarian, and will do my best to help.

Is the area where she is losing hair itchy at all? Is she eating and drinking normally?

Hair loss can be due to fleas. I see she does go outside; do you use a flea product regularly? Hair loss can also be due to hormone dysfunction, allergies, ear infection, and internal disease.

A runny nose can be from allergies, or a respiratory infection.

Whenever a cat is hiding, that concerns me. Cats tend to be secretive about not feeling good, and sometimes all they show when they are unwell are things like eating less, and hiding. I think having her checked by her veterinarian on Monday is a great idea. Until then, make sure she is eating and drinking.

Let me know what else I can answer or help with, and how she is doing. Rebecca
