My cat for the past three days has been acting strangely. He has quit eating, and he is sitting on the Potty for several minutes, but nothing is coming out. He will sometimes cry out. He is sleeping a lot as usual, but is not drinking much fluid, nor eating. Is there something I can do for him to make him feel better, or should I take him into see the Vet.Thanks for your advice.Joanne Mitchell XXXXXTel: XXX-XXX-XXXX (cell)

Welcome to JustAnswer! I am a licensed veterinarian and specialist and will do my best to assist you today!Regarding the potty issue - are you referring to urine? feces? or both?-
Both, I forgot to mention that he is also spitting up some green liquid stuff, usually right after he has tried to urinitate.
With what you write - his signs are compatible with a SERIOUS condition of a urinary blockage! When a cat can not urinate - the body can no longer get rid of toxins and chemicals. This may truly be a life threatening emergency and my recommendation is to bring your cat to your veterinarian or the nearest ER for evaluation as soon as possible. This link may also help - CLICK HEREIf they say your cat does not have a blockage - that is great - but since this can be life threatening and fatal if not diagnosed and treated, this is not something we recommend delaying.Hope that helps and answers all your questions! Before rating - Please REPLY at any time if more information is needed and I would be glad to reply back and help!Positive RATING (EXCITED FACE or 5 STARS) and bonus is appreciated as this is the way the professional receives credit for their time.
