My cat is 21 yrs old and gets very stressed out when going

My cat is 21 yrs old and gets very stressed out when going to vet. He has redness and discharge from one eye. But does not let you put anything near him. Is there something I can do for it that isn't too envasive.

Hi there,
Are you able to put drops in his eye? You could try artificial tears to see if that will soothe it a bit. Most everything else needs to have a prescription. You can also look for Terramycin ophthalmic oinment at a Pet store or a feed store and use that in that eye 3 times a day for a week. If it gets worse then you will need to bring him into the vet.
