My cat vomited this morning and is not eating. He is sleeping a lot. He is diabetic and had had his insulin before he vomited. I've put some syrup on his gums but he is still sleepy and not eating.

Aloha! You're speaking with Dr. Michael Salkin
When we don't have immediate access to his blood sugar value, we treat for the most dangerous eventuality - hypoglycemia - by administering 3ml/kg (~1/2 teaspoon/kg) of body weight of pancake syrup carefully by means of a poultry baster placed between his cheek teeth and cheek. Because I expect his blood glucose to fall farther in response to his last insulin injection, I must recommned your having him seen ASAP to avoid a potentially life-threatening hypoglycemia.
