Hello, I'm Dr. Bob.
Sticky urine may indicate that Jake has diabetes, or it may indicate an infection in his urinary tract.
I would suggest taking a urine specimen in to your veterinarian for analysis.
Jake may urinate in an empty cleaned litter box, the sample can then be poured into a clean zip top bag and refrigerated for up to 24 hours prior to submission to the veterinarian. If he won't give you a sample, then taking him in is the only option.
