How long has this been going on?

Is the cat eating and drinking normally?

Have you given hairball medicine yet?

It's lasted at least a week. She seems to be eating and drinking and running around. I have not given any medicine.

The first thing to try would be 1-2 teaspoons of hairball medicine twice a day for 4-5 days. Hairballs get harder and harder to breakdown the longer they are in the stomach. They can get hard as a rock over time. If the problem persists, you need stronger meds from your vet.
