Is it safe to use "Polysporin" on cats? Active incredients include Bacitracin Zinc, Polymyxin B (sulfate) and Gramicidin. What about Polyopthamic eye drops (Polymyxin B and Gramicidin).

Hi. I'm Dr. Lee and will do my best to help.

It is ok to use polysporin on cat skin. With what you are describing, I would suggest to clean the site with hydrogen peroxide every 12 hours, and then applying the antibiotic ointment.
As for the eye drops, it is ok to use as well.
If the skin does not get better in 1 week, then it is best to goto your veterinarian to check for other skin conditions, including mites and fungal disease.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks.
