Customer Question

Hello,
We are a staffing company with an assignment to find qualified and experienced industrial overhead door installers. Do you know of a list of question / answers that would separate those in the know from those who do not? Thank you for your help!

Finding and hiring the right company to install heavy items such as overhead doors is important as you want quality work done by experts. Went ahead to research questions that can be asked in a sit down interview to find out more about the company you wish to hire.

1. The FTC has on their site questions to ask when looking to hire a contractor for any job both big and small. Look under "Ask Questions":

2. Other questions to ask to be sure that the work will be done right:

Ask if they can itemize the bill. Broken down by every thing from materials to hauling away trash. This way you can then compare pricing from other bids.

Is the bid they offer a fixed or just an estimate. This can be helpful to make sure the project does not cost more than expected.

Who does the contractor use as their supplier.

Ask for references of other work done so that you can contact them to see how satisfied they were in the work. Also can make a visit to these sites to see how the work was done.
