Good afternoon Doctor,

As a former med-legal attorney in CA, I fully understand!

Have you considered something a bit less risky in the profession---and with a concomitant decrease in any E&O coverage expense----such as a weight loss clinic. Some semi-retired physicians are doing very well with these businesses.

You could even set yourself up doing Agreed Medical Exams and the occasional testimony in deposition or court. If you are a straight shooter, I can promise you that there is a lot of work in CA for docs who will do medical legal exams for both Plaintiff and Defense.
