should I leave my current job

Customer Question

I have been working at my current job for nearly a year-8 months to be exact. They don't offer any form of a raise, vacations aren't until you're there for two years, and if there is anything we need, they won't go out of thier way to get it. I'm questioning if I should leave my job or not.

It does sound like you are not happy there at all. It doesn't mean you have to stay there forever either. Start looking for something else now and as soon as something else comes along that has what you want out of a job...say goodbye to a place you are not happy at. There are places hiring all the time. There is a place that you will feel you fit in and be able to feel good going to everyday.

Good luck hun

I guess I am wondering if the problem is the job or if YOU are the problem. May not be what you wanted to hear, but......

How old are you? How many jobs have you had in your lifetime? What is the longest you have been on any one job?

The presence or absence of a "raise" potential is not nearly as significant is whether you enjoy the job or not. Do you? Personal satisfaction on the job is far more important that the money.

Vacations beginning only after two years. May not be what society is doing, but is not unreasonable.

Your statement, "...if there is anything we need, they won't go out of thier way to get it." Are you speaking of "tools" you need to get the job done, or get it done more efficiently? What specifically is not being provided?

The answers to these questions, will give us a better frame of reference from which to provide you with guidance.

I realize that you probably wanted someone to tell you that it is ok for you to take the attitude, "Take this job and shove it" BUT, perhaps not......
