Over a period of 4 hours my blood pressure has jumped any

Over a period of 4 hours my blood pressure has jumped any where from 174/84 to 190/72 to 154/80. I try different arms a get different readings. This has has happened for several dweeks. I feel fine although I am at this time suffering from a back problem

This is a concerningly high blood pressure

Blood pressure goal at your age is 150/90 or less.

I think you don't need to go on statins but you do need to get on some type of BP med

I would use a drug like lisinopril

safe and effective for controlling BP
