Customer Question

Hi . I have a history of pacs. Lone afib(10 years. Sporadic with longest episode 1.5 hours)And bouts of svt(3 in a year). A couple months ago i was getting a lot of pacs .to me anyway. Probobly 300-700 a day. I know people get many more. Anyway i had some
runs of svt that i was able to stop. I went to the er to get an ekg to verify which i did. My cardioligist verified svt and said nothing to worry about with those as they are benign. My pacs had gone away for the most part for a couple months. Now the last
three days they are back. Ive been dealing with a TON of health anxiety of muscle twitching ive been having non stop for couple months. Now these are back. Any suggestions? Im on a ccb right now

Thank you for your question, These muscle symptoms can be due to CCB, you need to take a beta blocker rather than a CCB which will help your muscle issues. plus if your symptoms are worsening a higher dose of beta blockers will prove useful to reduce SVT and PACs.Let me know if you have questions, thank you.

How does rhe ccb cause twitching? I have it all over. Mostly my feet and legs

Ive been told the pacs are totally benign unless you have like 15000 a day? I have less than 100 usually

Thank you for your reply.... As most muscle work by binding calcium into their cells...CCBs block this entry so leading to twitching.
Less than 30 PACs per hour do not need treatment unless causing symptoms . I hope this helps.
