Customer Question

I am a very fit (Crossfitter) indoor rower of 75 years. This morning while rested in bed I took my resting heart rate via an Oximeter. My normal pulse rate is 48 and it was that today. However I can also hear my pulse and about every 12 beats I would hear 2 thub/dub/dub beats instead of the 2 beat thus/dub. This was followed almost immediately by the 48 bpm reading waning to round 35 and then rising back to the regular 48 over the following 5-6 seconds.
Do you have any explanation for this?
