Customer Question

This morning around 8 AM I experienced middle chest pain. It subsided after five minutes or so. Then around 11 AM my left inner forearm started to experience some discomfort, going from a feeling of tight and sore to cold (like there was an ice pack on it), then back to tight and sore.

What were you doing when it came on?

Customer replied327 days and 14 hours ago.

When the chest pain started I was sitting in the truck. When the forearm pain started I was working (carpenter). But did not do anything dramatic that would have caused the discomfort.

Okay, thanks David.

Do you have any risk factors for heart disease? Smoking, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, family history?

Customer replied327 days and 13 hours ago.

I smoke cigars ocassionally, drink (beer) even less than occasionally, have good blood pressure and cholesterol and as far as I know, no history of heart troubles in the family.

Okay David. Thanks for the extra info.

I would say that it's very unlikely that this is cardiac chest pain. In fact, highly unlikely.

However, its impossible to rule it out online and I do think you should have it checked out.

Other possibilities would be acid reflux, muscular pain, and lung issues.

The arm sounds like a pinched nerve and not heart related as well.

The acid reflux certainly is feasible- I've had it before, but it usually came with prior indicators and not so sudden. When the unexplained forearm pain followed I recalled an incident with a friend and a blood clot he had. So it freaked me out a bit. I've never had a pinched nerve in an arm, but once you suggested it I do recall pinched nerves in my neck feeling similar. I will pay attention the next few days. Thank you

You're welcome.

And don't forget pinched nerves in the neck can cause hand/ARM pain.

Don't forget to rate me great service so I'm compensated .
