I get sudden heart palpitations and feel them in my throat a few times a month. I'm female and 52 in decent shape and very active. This only happens in the evening or middle of the night when I'm at rest and last 5 min. to 45 min. I went to a cardiologist had a treadmill stress test and passed that fine, ten minutes and my heartrate wouldn't go over 130. Had an echo done and he said everything looked fine. I'ts hard to do a holter cause I don't know when it's gonna happen but he felt I didn't need it. He was satisfied with results but it's still happening. I am stressed out but god i'ts scary when it happens. Should I go back to Dr.

Answers are for informational purposes only.Yes you should. You definitely should have a holter. Please don't click "helped a little" or "I expected more" as this leaves negative feedback. If you aren't 100% satisfied, just click "continue conversation."
Can you give me your opinion on how to do a holter when it doesn't happen everyday and can hormones cause palpitations because the 1st time it happened was in the night with a hot flash.
1)you might need an event monitor. Like a 30 day holter.2)yes hormones definitely can cause it.
