I have a AAA now for about 6 yrs when it was found. It was found when I had back pain and mri of my back at 3.1cm. I went to my dr. and he order ultrasound and I have been having an ultrasound at the same hospital every year since 2006. The measurements always varied between 2.875% to 2.97%. Today I was in Cleveland and had a tech come to my house to measure my AAA and the tech came up with 3.6. It had been 13 months since the last AAA measurement. This is kind of scaring me a little bit and I believe I need to go back to Utah and have it measured at the same facility like comparing apples to apples. But what about the techs they vary too. What are your thoughts on this. I am a little scared.

The measurement of a AAA is pretty straightforward.
There is some variability between tech, machine and institution but I would say that this is probably a pretty good measurement.
It is still small though and nothing needs to be done right now for it.
Just control blood pressure very strictly and monitor every year.
You may want to repeat in 3-6 months right now to ensure stability because of the recent change. No sooner than 3 months though.
