The treads on the plug are good, but when u try tighten it just stays loose. So im sure the treads in the motor are shoot im just wanting to know how u go about fixen that.

I recently purchased a 2001 Volvo C70 Convert. It has a 2.3 ltr eng with factory turbo and Automatic trans. anti theft factory option. The car runs excellent with no trouble lights or trouble signals in the computer. The problem I am experiencing is what I believe is ignition system. On occassion when I insert the key into the ignition and try to start
up it just turns the engine. This will continue 6 or 8 times then it will fire for about a second or two then quit running. I will pull the key out and insert then start up the car.
I thought that the key may have lost its memory. I took it to a Volvo dealer who ran a blue tooth test to the manufacturer. It did show the problem was in the key. I had another key. Very expensive. It worked fine until today. About 3 days since new key.
I experienced the same problem again. Could there be an existing issue in these vehicles I need to know about and what could be the cure.
