Hello, I have a 2004 Chrysler Town and country with a 3.3l v6. Been having a few issues latey, like the dash guages dimming etc. I cleaned the battery cables thought it had ficed the issue. Tonight the battery ligt came on and ultimate the battery drained and would not start without a charger. I checked voltage and it's about 11V while the engine is running. From the + cable on the alternator to ground is 14.5V. I checked from the GEN FLD wire to the + cable. zero voltage while the engive is running. If I shut the engine off I get a voltage reading of 11.5 v or so.
Also wanted to add, alternator is about a year old. Battery is new. And if I check voltage from positive cable on the alternator to ground, the voltage is about 14.5 volts.
