I have a 2005 XJ8 Jaguar and just recently I have experienced a whining noise coming from the vehicle only when the A/C is on. Jaguar has replaced the following parts: A/C compressor, all pullies, tensioners and belts, and the alternator. This has run into several thousands of dollars and the car still makes the same noise as when we first started. The car runs PERFECTLY when the A/C is off, no noise at all!!! Do you think this could be an internal bearing in the engine? The only problem with that is why, if it is an internal bearing, then you should hear the noise all the time, right?!?! (Or could it be that I have a weak bearing that only makes this noise when put under load with the A/c???) Though the vehicle is a 2005 it only has 30k miles and has been kept in mint condition. WELL LOOKED AFTER!!! I would greatly appreciate any feedback you could give me as I am now incredibly frustrated with Jaguar after all the money spent and 9 weeks in the shop with technical assistance from Aberdeen, Scotland. Thanks a million, Peter Robb
