I want to buy a friend a vehicle diagnosis machine for christmas and don't want to spend over a few hundred but less as long as it is a quality machine. He currently owns chevy vehicles, 1 car and 1 truck both in the 1970's. I think his car is a 73 nova and his truck is a 79. Also, can one machine be used to diagnose both vehicles and which machine do you recommend?

what would make a 94 sidekick slide out of gear while driving. It will either rev up - taking foot off gass will usually get it back for a moment or longer. Also, instead of reving up, it may go into what I call putter mode where it almost dies.

Hi there, I'm looking at buying a new car & had a look at a susuki grand vital 2002 model. I took it fir a fair drive, it ran very well but when I pulled over I took the radiator cap off and the coolant bubbled a little bit, it when went down. I drove it some more temperature gauge was fine, but when I pulled over again It did the same. when I asked the seller he said he hadn't had any over heating problems and hd not needed to replace the coolant for a very long time and it was still very nice bright green. Is this something I should be concerned about? The overall engine kind of smelt like id taken it on a really long drive too?
