Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are many things that can cause a no start condition and it will most likely require some electrical testing to determine what is going on.

If the battery light had come on with the engine running it was because charging voltage was low. The first thing that needs to be addressed is the battery. The first thing I would recommend is trying a jump start (not always reliable), having this battery load tested or swapping in a known good battery.
