Customer: NO smell of Gas have had this for over six mounths

P0093 sets when the fuel pressure sensor shows that rail pressure is higher than the commanded pressure. This could be an actual pressure issue or an inaccurate fuel pressure sensor.

What specific sensors have been replaced in an attempt to repair this?

Is there any abnormal smoke or excessive combustion noise?

replaced rail sensor' rail regulater valve sensor common rail , fuel pump regulater valve, map sensor, cam sensor air mass sensor 2 before the turbo ,heat sensor ,new fuel injectors the only think left is the fuel pump ? no abnormal smoke no excessive combustion noisegets 9.5 liters per 100kl

mechanic thinks it is a bad injector he wants to take them out & test them. All part mopar USA except injecors are boush, Ijust took for run 130k with over Drive off soon as over drive on goes into limp mode no code light are on

It's not an injector, and they're tested on the engine with it running in any event.

put on Dyno Tune, it did have other codes po299 &po87 after tunethay are gone ,it has aflash tune with egr tuned out 2.5 exhaust it start doing it after Mechanic found a leak in the egr returned pipe & blocked it in January has cost about $7500 so far replacing parts & labor still coming up with po93 I start with the fuel filter & head then lift pump ,fuel lines new injectors map sensor heat sensor air mas sensor regulater valve sensor on the end common rail ,common rail sensor fuel pump regulater,timing belt kit with water pump& cam sensor the flash tune was done 2 years ago no trouble oil change &filter every 5000k air, fuel 10000k thats about it thanks KEN

Can you elaborate on what you're referring to as Dyno Tune?

Its were the vehicle is test & tuned in a work shop running up full revs up you can see Dyno Tune on the net

Yes, the fuel rail pressure sensor.

This code sets when rail pressure is higher than the setpoint. Possible causes are the rail pressure sensor, it's wiring, the fuel quantity solenoid and fuel control actuator.

The fuel control actuator is on the high pressure pump, the quantity solenoid is on the end of the fuel rail.

They have just been replaced in last 2 weeks so it looks like wiring left

It's possible that there is a sensor wiring issue causing the signal to be inaccurate.

Just had all wiring tested to sensors all ok came in at 5volts under load what is next I can look for, thanks Ken

And the problem was present/P0093 was active at the time of testing?

They're overlooking something then if they're able to see the problem happening but not diagnose it. Do you not have a dealer?

Injectors can't cause rail pressure to be higher than commanded. The problem has to be an inaccurate rail pressure reading, the fuel quantity solenoid or fuel control actuator causing pressure to be too high. There could potentially be a solenoid or actuator wiring issue but that should set a dedicated code.

You have aftermarket software in the ECM? Yes, that can definitely cause problems.
