COULD you give me a minute to respond?

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

cars are not always that simple for an answer, and the phone call is JUST and offer, not a neccessity

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

i am looking at the diagrams now, so please, give me some time to respond.

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

there are 4 major things in the circuit for the tailights, so we can check the easiest first,

TAIL fuse

Tail lamp relay,

if the fuse is good then swap the taillight relay with another relay that looks similar and see if the lights now work. if not then it will require electrical testing with a test light, do you know how to do this?

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

are you with me? please respond so i know we are working together or ill have to move on to other questions.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No , Lou fuse looked good but thanks anyway for your trouble.
Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

did you not see the relay i spoke about?

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

when you turn the switch on it sends a signal to the body control module which activates a ground to close the relay which allows power to flow from the fuse to the tail lights ill send over the diagram. so you can see what i am seeing.

Im so sorry I guess I should have waited till I got off of work , because I'm not in front of the car. I figured it would be something minor that I could do after work.
Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

we are not timed

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

you can reply here as many times as needed. i am on almost all day everyday, so we can pick this up later if needed. not all car questions are cut and dry. especially when it comes to electrical.

Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.

and it can be minor, it will either be a failed relay or the signal switch, but well just need to confirm that.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
OK Lou I will reply again when I get off of work around 4 pm Central time
Expert:  Lou P. replied 8 months ago.
