Hello I'm Chris. What is going on with your Rodeo?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
No start ran fine before. Parked it cranks but no start no fire no fuel pulse codes for gps 1 and aps2 replaced both no change returned them. Reference voltage 5vlts some areas .g volts on others.
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

What are you losing reference voltage on?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
4 volts reference on tps1 .4 volts reference on crank sensor signal voltage is 5 volts. Reference volts to positive on battery 12 ish volts.
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

is tht .4 on tps1 and.4 on crank?

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

is the engine a 2.2 or 3.2?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
no 5 volt reference on either line or apps pedal sensor however apps 1 pedal sensor has 5 volts and apps 3 pedal sensor has 5 volts reference
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
3.2
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Does the 2002 rodeo have and addtipnal pcm/ ecm located under the dash other than the one under the hood drivers side near firewall
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

Ok first ide like to start by telling you that these things have big problems with their engine wiring harnesses and they usually throw tps codes when they get them

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Unwrapped tugged on harness clipped the reference wire from the pc to tps 1 editing the pcm exit voltage .4 volts
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

so you have .4 right out of pcm?

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

the codes you had were any of these 1195 p1295 or p1515

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
leaving the pcm to gps 1 is .4 volts as well as aps 2 and crank sensor. The codes look familiar but they vary according to which sensor I have unplugged
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

I JUST noticed yor other question the pcm is 1 and its located on the drivers fender area

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

By the air filter

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

can you erase the codes and crank to see what comes back?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Thats the one I am testing original codes 1280 1290 1125 1295 1120 1220
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

I'm almost certain its in the harness. Can you unclip the computer and wiggle that harness that goes to the head? Most of the problems occur in there. Watch the tps voltage as you are doing it.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I can plug in all sensors but the crank sensor it a pain to get to and pull codes from there. Crank sensor plugged in reads no rpm on live odb2 while trying to crank over just so you know
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

don't worry about crank I'm worried about tps voltage as you wiggle the harness. Make the harness as loose as you can.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Already did that twice still no start harness wrapped and unwrapped
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Know about the 90 degree angle on the harness straightens that out as best I could no change in voltage
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

does it crank?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
It does crank just no start and no fire to coil packs
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

yo have injector pulse when the ckp was in?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
No pulse via noid lightthe tps makes a high pitched whine when the key is in run position then stools whining very shortly
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Stops not stools
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

lol

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Hate autocorrect
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

I definitely think its still a harness problem. I personally would try running my own wires from pcm to throttle body.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Jumped the good reference 5 volt to the bad .4 wire no change
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Grounds read good on all sensors by the way
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

did you disconnect the 5 volt references one by one to see if one of the is pulling others down?

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

but that should of thrown other codes

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
far I have disconnected the crank and throttle body. No change still .4 volts. Last one in the chai. Is the pedal sensor I think unless you k ow of other I es
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Ones not I es
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Give me a 67 bug just hit stuff with a hammer it works
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

With the original codes I have fixed them all by bypassing the wire harness to tb. There's nothing else that I can do for you right now. You will have to either trust me or I can opt out and you can get a second opinion from another tech.

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

The only thing that bothers me is that you have no spark

Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 5 months ago.

Unless of course that's another wire that went bad or a bad pcm.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Got a pcm coming tomorrow will try to bypass the harness if the pcm replacement does not work will let you know might help someone out down the road somewhere
Expert:  Wayne Crawford replied 5 months ago.

Hello. My name is***** you still need help? I see you opted out your previous expert.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
2092 rodeo no start condition
Expert:  Wayne Crawford replied 5 months ago.

I gathered that., I read through this whole post.

BUT the last thing I see is you had a PCM on the way and were going to update the post then you opted out the other expert with no update.

Did you install the PCM? If so did anything change?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Will get it Friday 6/17
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Is there another on in the dash under the audio system?
Expert:  Wayne Crawford replied 5 months ago.

No. There is only one PCM.
