can you take a picture of the pin you are referring to so i may offer my best advice?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
You will see two pictures, one with the red markers for the pieces that were removed and one with the pieces on, that is the pin that i need removed.

if i rember correctly that piece comes off with the cover. there is a bolt that appears to still be installed and need to be removed right above the center of the cover to the right a bit.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
The bolt was already out, we placed it back for the pic sake. The pin did not come out with the cover unfortunately, now i am concerned about beating the pin out without causing damage. Any tips?

wait can you take a picture with the cover off?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
The other pic is my husband finger pointing to the pin, we have also removed the bolt. The other pic is a picture of the cover.

okay that after going back to a recent suzuki engine i did a head on. that piece stays with the head. and the cover comes off over it. you will need something like a long screwdriver. or a thin prybar to reach down and pry the cover free from it.
