im cam, a licenced diagnostic tech.
IT sounds like it could possibly be the thermost..
have you monitored the engine temperature to see if it reaching operating temperature?
if the engine temperature is normal, than grab both of heater hoses and see if they are both the same temperature.
if they are both hot, than it could be a blend door problem.
if one is hot and the other warm, than we will be looking at the heater core
i will opt out and see if another tech has another option for you!
good luck with your repair!
Hi: This sounds to be a restricted heater core issue, (this seems to happen this time of year) First remove both heater hoses going the heater core from the engine, Then point the bottom hose from the heater core towards the ground, and then apply water from your garden hose into the upper hose to the heater core, this will flush out restriction, (you will see a lot of rusty/dirty junk coming out of the core/hoses, do this for about 3 mins. and then reverse hoses to the garden hose) Thanks, ***** ***** me know if I can be of any other assistance to you with this issue. AND Have a Very Merry Christmas!!
