What might be causing both front brakes on our car to

Customer Question

What might be causing both front brakes on our car to stick/not release completely? The car doesn't pull to either side when braking and both sides are equally hot when we stop.
We received this vehicle as a "gift" :) from a friend. While teaching my 15 y.o. to drive stick, we realized the front calipers were stuck. A neighbor towed/dragged us home (~1.5 miles). Brakes were smoking once we got home.
First we replaced the both front rotors and calipers. Didn't fix the problem. Next we replaced the brake hoses on each side. Didn't fix the problem. Lastly we replaced the master cylinder. Didn't fix the problem.

good afternoon my name is ***** ***** I will assist

there are pins on the caliper mounts that may stick and not allow the pads to release. have you checked and cleaned them???

The calipers and mounts are brand new (remanufactured) parts from O'Reilly auto parts. Everything moved easily when they were installed. We greased the backs of the pads but did not do anything to the caliper mounts. I'm also dubious that this is the problem since it happens on both front brakes (although I admit they might, coincidentally, both have problems - seems unlikely).

I don't know yet. I won't be able to check until tomorrow.
