Customer: replied 1 year ago.
when i press lock no noise, no response. 5.4l triton
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

ok, check the diagrams I sent you to see if you have any power to the system

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok i looked at pictures power unlock works fine and power windows... if i press button on tailgate it release s liftgate...
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
or what am i supposed to do?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

if you have a test light or voltmeter, test the fuse that controls the lock system. you can also remove the power door lock control and test for power to the switch

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok what fuse is that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
key fob wont lock it either
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
any idea which fuse?
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

ok, there is a pink with light green stripe on the drivers door lock switch. that should have 12 volts

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
hmm ok so i lifted up the trim around unlock and power windows switches. going to the lock and unlock is 2 smaller black wires , a pink with grey stripe is 11.47 v, pink and yellow is 11.44v, pink is 0.00
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

the signal comes from the security module. do you have any access to a scan tool???

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I got a blue point multimeter, and something that scan s for engine codes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
A innova. 3030
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

that is just a code reader with no live data we need to monitor the system activity.

it seems you have an issue with the security module. it is most likely the issue but without a scan tool to verify, it is a guess

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
k so how am I gonna fix it
Where's it located. WhICH is the fuse for power lock. Which is relay for power lock. Where are they located
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
U read the piece of paper from Ford indicating it was broken wire some where right that I attached a few posts ago right
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

the relay is in the module. the module is in the right side lick panel.

fuse 25 in central junction box. it is a 7.5 amp fuse

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If the vvsm was messed up would not it shoot out a b 1342 code that my innova would catch.:. Did u check the piece of paper I attached from ford
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
when I press unlock in cabin very light click, when I use fob, louder click plus horn beeps, has Ford remote start and keyless entry
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

yes, I checked it. does your code reader read body codes??? most of the code readers only read P codes for the engine system

you have just given me new info you did not post before about hearing the noises. this would have helped in the brginning. yes, the module is working. this may be indicating an issue with the door lock actuators.

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ya I tried the second fob. Maybe 1st fob broken. It clicked by passengers foot by no lock movement
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Still both inside control do not make niose
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

I would remove the door panels and check for voltage to the actuators.

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok ya I already took off all rear hatch trim, but I should start front passenger and driver first?
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

drivers as it is the most used

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Got a diagram for trim removal.
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

no, not for removal

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well how do I get the actuators, they are in door right. How do I get door handleff
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Door handle off
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

post a oicture of the panel for me

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok i opened it up got a broken door handle now, didnt detect in either one
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

the actuator is on the bottom of the door. with all connectors connected, was there power to the actuator??

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
uh how do u test it when its connected? strip a lil bit of insulation off
line?"
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

use your test light or voltmeter to see if voltage is present when you press the lock and unlock button. you must re connect the wire harness.

you can remove the connector from the actuator and probe and wires in the connector

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok still not getting anything... its starting to snow thou
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

if you have power at the switch as you indicated then the switch is bad because it is not sending a signal

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
if i the switch was bad i should be able to bypass by jumping it, works for unlock but not lock.
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

the voltage changes in the lock mode. power and ground are reversed.

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
how it is unlocking it then. And how come fob or key pad doesn't open? How come when I press unlock there is no voltage power heated seats don't work either if it s connected
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I just need a switch? Or all switch bad
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

yep, as I stated before, if you had voltage to the actuator and it did not work, the power door lock switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ordered new switch for tomorrow. I didn't detect voltage of either of connectors to actuator when I pressed lock or unlock.
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

ok

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
put the 80$ switch, no difference
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
how do I fix my power locks
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

did you re check for voltage???

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Where
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

the same place you checked before from the switch to the actuator

Roy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i didnt find volyage in either connecter when i pressed lock /unlock
