the converter only goes one way. there is a hole with a slot or elongated that lines up with the converter bolt hole with an arrow on it.

I brought the engine to TDC ,the converter to the 0 mark only two bolts will install. The flywheel had an elongated hole but Icouldn't see any mark on converter. thanks

ok, did you rotate the converter to get all 4 positions to see if they line up?? It is time consuming as you have to try each position for all 4 bolt holes.

otherwise, you may have to use the flexplate from the donor trans
