Land Rover Discovery 2003. Ignition won't turn over and dash lights flash rapidly!! Why??

The battery should be at 12.4 to 12.6 volts... If you hit the key, and the battery goes below 9 volts, I think you've found the issue. I would also want to know if there is a parasitic draw that is killing the battery. Have you had the battery checked? It sounds like a dead battery issue.
