I have a Renault Clio 1.2 petrol, and have had a warning light come on - "electronic fault".
My local garage tell me that the accelerator would not increase the revs. This was sporadic, and currently the car is driving apparently normally with a little hesitation on accelerating from tickover. The warning light has reappeared, having been reset by the garage.

I am sorry that your question has not been answered yet. I just came on line and saw it.

what year is your Renault?

Clio 2002 1.2 Petrol

My car is a Renault Clio - 2002- 1.2 - petrol

Ok, do you remember if the shop retreived any fault codes from the onboard computer, and if so, what were they?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

They only told me that they could not find anything. No mention of codes.

Ok, this is going to be a faulty throttle body. the wiring harness to it should be check for chafed or cuts and repaired as needed. If ok, then the throttle body will need to be replaced
