Battery dead and key won't turn in trunk to get in. How do I unlock it
Hello, I'm Jason.
I will do my best to answer your question quickly and accurately using the information you have provided.

What year/make/model of vehicle is this?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

2010 Ferrari california

You've tried this keyhole here next to the license plate lights?

What exactly happens when you attempt to turn the key? Does the key turn at all. Any sort of metallic/mechanical noises?

Key won't turn

I have a feeling that the tumblers are a bit stuck, since most folks never actually have to use the keyhole. If you can get some sort of penetrating oil, WD-40 or similar on the key blade, put it in the keyhole, and as you're applying pressure in the unlock position, move the key into and out of the keyhole. This may unstick the tumbler. I've luck with this method more than once.
