can a brake booster cause the car to cut off when applying

can a brake booster cause the car to cut off when applying the brakes
HelloSir or Madam and thank you for your question!
If it leaks enough vacuum it can cause the engine to stall. It may also cause the engine idle to surge. If you are hearing a hissing under the dash when you step on the brake pedal, then it is leaking a pretty good amount of vacuum.
I have also seen the boosters leak under the hood, but normally that will cause rough idle and stalling without stepping on the brake.
Hope this helps!
