hoping to do self repair of mazda protege 2000 turn signal, the signal has worked intermittently for a few months it effects both the left right and hazards. difficulty identifying the part to replace.

sense it seems to effect both the signals and the hazzard lights,,it would seem you may have bad multi-function [signal light]switch..
i will upload the proceedure to replace it below

Any chance you have the repair manual pictures for these other steps in your description too?


 


2. Remove the driver-side air bag module.


3. Remove the steering wheel


4. Remove the column cover.


5. Remove the clock spring.

well
i dont have the steering whell removal..but it is pretty much straight forward..just remove the center nut and use a whell puller to pull off the steering wheel
