I have a 2001 Olds Alero 3.4L. Replaced the cylinder heads

This answer was rated:

I have a 2001 Olds Alero 3.4L. Replaced the cylinder heads and put in the pushrods and rocker arms appropriately, the shorter ones are for the intake and the longer ones are for the exhaust. 4 of the intake pushrods are now have a gap and do not touch the rocker arm. Are my lifters bad or did I not do something correctly.
