This answer was rated:

When I try checking the transmission oil level on my 03 9-5, following manufacturers instructions D for 15 sec/R for 15 sec/ then P, when I take out the dipstick fluid gushes out? What's up with that?
did the fluid come out while the engine was at idle in park?
does it leak fluid ,,,without pulling out the stick
please me how you checked the fluid..
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

With motor running @ operating temperature. I put the e-brake on, put it in drive for 15 seconds, put it in reverse for 15 seconds put it in park. With motor still running (idle about 900 rpm's) I pulled out the stick and fluid comes gushing out the dipstick hose. When I replace the dipstick it does not leak trans. fluid.

it sounds as if it may be too full of fluid.....checkingb the fluid as you did above,it should be at the full mark..itsounds as if it may have too much flid in the trans,
