Suzuki Sidekick 4x4: I have a 1989 suzuki sidekick 4x4. When

Customer Question

I have a 1989 suzuki sidekick 4x4. When the weather is warm, it starts fine & runs fine. When the weather is cold, it takes forever to start it. I believe it is a 1.6. I used to have the engine in another body & when I put it in its current body is when it started having problems. It ran GREAT in the other body.

Also could be collent temp sensor. if you can use a small squirt of ether on a cold start and it starts right up then its one of these issues.. if a squirt of either doesnt help, its possible the coil is weak.

The computer switch did not help.

Do I just use the ether down the throat of the throttle body?

Expert:  JacobTD replied 4 years ago.
no its best to remove and soak in a carb cleaner
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

When you say to try ether, are you talking about carburator cleaner?
