hi there

my name is don i will try to help you on this

how bad is it leaking ?

is there antifreeze in the oil

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I believe so. The engine works, starts and runs very good but there is white smoke coming from the exhaust. My wife drove the car until she seen steam coming from the front of the car before she stopped and turned it off.

morning my thanks for that great information there are two option you can take

doing a head gasket is fairly easy and yes you could do it as long as you pick up a how to book either chilton ,haynes or mitchell books will help you out on this you can find these at napa or a engine parts supply house or on e-bay

you will need metric or british witworth tools plus a torque wrench

a gasket scraper and there is a gasket removal spray you can get from napa

you can use a mini die grinder with a 2 inch round scotch pad to clean the rough areas but be careful not to remove any metal by staying to long in one area or pushing down to hard

the other option is to purchase a product called iron tite this product addted to you radiator seales leaking headgaskets is costs about 20.00 dollars a bottle and we use it all the time iy seals the leak within 5 minutes but you must have the engine upto operating temperture shake it well and you might have to drain out a bit of antifreeze to add it i have used this in heavy trucks and cars it will not harm you rad or engine at all

hope thsi helps you

Iron tite Worked. I will have to wait and see how long it works

Good Morning

i am glad to hear it

we have had irontite in a truck engine for the last 2 years and it has put on 200000 miles

the only time i think you might have to put more is if you flush out your cooling system

i am glad to hear it worked for you

have a great day
