Auto Psychic :

hi my name is XXXXX XXXXX i'll help you in any way i can.

Auto Psychic :

sorry to hear of your misfortune :(

Auto Psychic :

chances are very high that you have a bad crankshaft position sensor.

Auto Psychic :

then heats the thing.

Auto Psychic :

this may or may not turn on the check engine lite.

Auto Psychic :

my recommendation is have the vehicle scanned with a dedicated cadillac laptop and have the crankshaft position sensor replaced in any case.

Auto Psychic :

what do you think?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
where is the crankshaft sensor located?
Expert:  Auto Psychic replied 4 years ago.
its on the block at the front of the engine on the passenger side.
i recommend against doing this in your driveway.
it requires removal of the oil filter and oil filter housing.
best to go with a cadillac specialist.
please remember to give me a positive rating so i can get credit for my work.
thank you, gary
