This answer was rated:

Just had my tires rotated at Lube Plus and now I have a vibration - mild - the steering wheel does not shake - but at speeds above 40mph the humming type sound is not tolerable. What is wrong.

internal88 : Hello and welcome.
internal88 : Your tire's belt is shifted.
internal88 : This is the belt that is in the tire.

What can I do to remedy the problem?

internal88 : You have two options.
internal88 : Find out which tire has their internal belt shifted.
internal88 : The tire was defective.
internal88 : Take your hand.
internal88 : And go across each tires.
internal88 : The one that you feel the sharp edge is the one you will need to replace.
internal88 : Or you can rotate it back to the original position.
internal88 : The mechanic should find out very easily which tire has been shifted.
internal88 : There is a internal steel belt that is inside the tire core.
internal88 : If all the tires are ok , then one or more is out of balanced.
internal88 : The mechanic will have to balance it for you.
