The power windows and radio still wont work after replacing the main fuse. Why not?
Optional Information: Make: Hyundai Model: elantra Year: 2000 Already Tried: replacing the main fuse
That is typically caused from Fuseable Link "C"see diagram
Test voltage on "both" sides of Fuses & Fuseable Links

I have sent the information you have requested & have answered .If you have more questions about a different problem or area, it is considered to be "additional" & may have to Relist.
Sorry, the vehicle is a 2001, and that fuse you said to replace (with the diagram) isnt even there. Sorry for the wrong year on the car. Please respond.

thanks for the added info.............
Check voltage on "both" sides of Fuseable Link in Passenger Fuse Blocksee diagram
If no voltage, you will need to "back probe" to the Main Fuse Panel
some more info....initially, we crossed the battery and blew 100 amp fuseable link. We since replaced it, and everything works except the windows and radio. Window fuse in passenger compartment is fine....swapped it out with another 30 amp. What else?

please reread my answer..........Eyeballing the Fuse or Fuseable Link does not make the Fuse or fuseable Link goodFuse can "look" good, but still be badYou need a test Light (cheap) or a Volt / Ohm Meter to test for voltage on "both" sides of Fuse or Fuseable Link to be sure the Circuit is good........If there is NO Voltage to Fuse or Fuseable Link, then"back probing" is needed to find the break
Could be another Fuse, Fuseable Link, Burnt wire, Burnt connection behind Fuse Box (under hood or passenegr)
The Battery Fuseable Link powers the Passenger Fuse Panel, but you posted that everything works, so I do not believe it is thatTesting of ALL Fuses & Fuseable Links on "both" sides needs to be done to confirm circuits with Key OnIf Voltage is to one side & not to other & you have replaced the Fuse, then the underside of the Fuse Panel needs to be checked

found a bad fuse for the cig lighter plugged in a replacement and it blew immediately could this be related to window?
If you are referring to Fuse 18 (15amp) & it blew, sounds like something in the Cigarette Lighter is shortingRemove Cigarette Lighter to confirmFuse 18 is a direct fuse to the Cigarette lighter, but is on the same circuit as the Power Windows
THE CIG LIGHTER wasnt even plugged in...i'm just gonna take it to the dealer
I can only answer by the info you supply
good luck
