how do i change igntioin switch in 1988 454 winnebago superchief
Hello and thank you for using justanswer.Are you needing to replace the ignition switch (electrical portion) or the ignition lock cylinder (where the key goes)?
the lock cylinder on the dash
the cylinder is loose and getting it to start the vehicle is hit and miss. I have tried spinning the trim piece on the dash counter clockwise whiloe holding the switch under the dash. it reaches a stopping point and while the switch is much looser it still will not come out
On the face of the ignition lock cylinder, you should have a small hole. Turn the key to the Accessory position and then insert a paperclip into the hole to release the lock cylinder from the dash.
