2000 Isuzu Trooper is stalling at idle. Idle is erratic...speeds up, slows down, drops below 300 rpm and coughs and dies.I've changed plugs, air filter, fuel filter & pcv valve. When running, I can hear a hissing sound, so I thought I had a vacuum leak. Sprayed throttle body cleaner around and got an rpm surge around throttle body. Cleaned and checked all hoses; they all seemed sound and didn't make any difference. Now I'm thinking that I've got a cracked intake manifold gasket. Question: Could a cracked manifold gasket be causing my problem? Is there a test beyond what I've done to confirm a cracked manifold gasket. If so, and that's my problem...what do I need to know to perform this repair. Can't find any manual for my vehicle...are there any diagrams that identify what the components under the hood are? What about a description of procedures for removing the intake manifold and replacing the gasket?I'm a very visual guy, so diagram or photos would be really helpful.Thanks.

already joined alldata, and was very unhappy with the level of detail for the price I paid. I'm looking for step-by-step instructions on how to effect this repair, accompanied by photos and diagrams. So far, I've come nowhere close to this level of detail.
Like i said, it is against copy write laws to copy and paste this material from any repair manual. I do hope you understand.
