Resolved Question:

I'm trying to check the oil on my Fiat Punto. The dipstick has an inch-long flat bit on the end - is that the measuring bit? If the oil is up to the top of the flat bit, does that mean the car has enough oil in it?

Hopefully i can help..

The oil level must be between the MIN and MAX marks/lines on the dipstick - so the measuring part will be the section on the end of the dipstick - if upto the max mark/line then there is enough oil - although its best really to try checking it when the car is on level ground if at all possible - I would asume there should be sections or a section in the handbook should explain further if required..
